The Society has added a Monday night series to its regular schedule this year, and so the program will be repeated three nights this week. ![]() under the direction of Charles Wadsworth. The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center begins its 11th season today at 5 P.M. Roeg, and “Don't Look Now” (1973) which he directed will be shown in related screenings at the Bleecker Street Cinema in November. The series ends with the New York premiere of the uncut version of “The Man Who Fell to Earth” (1976), the science‐fiction film starring David Bowie. The latter will be shown in mid‐November, paired with “Walkabout” (1971). Roeg's work ranges from his cinematography for such films as “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (1968), starring Zero Mostel, Phil Silvers, Jack Gilford and Buster Keaton, which leads off the series, to his debut as a director with “Performance” (1970) starring Mick Jagger and James Fox. Completing the program are Patrick Dupont and Claude deVulpian of the Paris Opera Ballet in the pas de deux from “Le Corsaire.” (See Dance)Ī nine film retrospective devoted to the work of the photographer and director Nicolas Roeg will begin Thursday at the Carnegie Hall Cinema. The Joffrey's Denise Jackson, Beatrice Rodriguez and Gregory Huffman will dance a world premiere pas de deux set to music by Albinoni. Some of those taking part in the first series will be Suzanne Farrell in an excerpted version of Tchaikovsky's “Romeo and Juliet,” choreographed by Miss Farrell's husband Paul Mejia, as well as Jana Kurova and Lubomir Kafka of the National Ballet of Prague in a dance premiere choreographed to music by Olivier Messiaen. A new series of ballet performances including dancers from around the world will begin Friday at the Beacon Theater.
